We Are Not A Points League
but it’s ok! it’ll be fun!

This year, you’ll compete against another manager each week to win in as many stat categories as possible.

Your team and your opponent’s team accumulate stats in the following categories:

  • Field Goal Percentage (FG%)
  • Free Throws Made (FTM)
  • 3-point Shots Made (3PTM)
  • Points Scored (PTS)
  • Total Rebounds (REB)
  • Assists (AST)
  • Steals (ST)
  • Blocked Shots (BLK)
  • Turnovers (TO)

Here’s how it works:

  • Weekly Matchup: Each week, you face off against another manager, and your goal is to outperform them in as many stat categories as possible.
  • Categories-Based Scoring: For each category (FG%, FTM, 3PTM, PTS, REB, AST, ST, BLK, TO), whichever team has better stats for the week gets a “win” for that category.
    • For example, if your team scores more points (PTS) than your opponent, you win that category. If your field goal percentage (FG%) is higher than theirs, you also win that category.
  • Turnovers (TO): For turnovers, the goal is to have fewer TOs than your opponent. Fewer turnovers contribute to winning that category.
  • Outcome: At the end of the week, whoever wins the most categories wins the matchup. The score might look like 6-3 if you win six categories and your opponent wins three.

Strategy Tips:

  • Balance your team across all categories, but focus on those you can dominate. For instance, if you have strong rebounders, you might consistently win REB and BLK.
  • Watch out for turnovers! Players who get a lot of usage (like point guards) may also turn the ball over frequently, so manage this carefully.
  • Look for players who can contribute in multiple categories, especially in scoring (PTS), assists (AST), and steals (ST).
  • Make use of your IL and IL+ spots to stash injured players who could return and help you win future matchups.

ChatGPT says: Managing your roster weekly and adjusting based on matchups and player performances is key to success. ✌️
